Regular pumping over was carried out during the alcoholic fermentation to extract colour and structure. The wine was then transferred to French and American oak barrels for 12 months' maturation.

The vines are grown in clayey-ferrous soils, which are garnet in colour and absorb water easily, producing low yielding vines with small berries.
Soft oak, black cherry and dried fruit aromas are followed by warm earthy tones on the palate, with a touch of oak on the finish. Good integration of tannins and fruit make this a rich, smooth and balanced wine.
