Fermentation vessels used were closed top stainless steel tanks.
The wine was matured for 7 months in French oak barriques.
Only French oak from the Troncais, Allier and Vosges forests are used.
This wine has a little bit of the wild about it. Its personality has been shaped by wild yeasts found in the vineyards and the winery. The grapes come from the Wairau Valley (''Wairau'' is a Marori word meaning ''many waters'') situated along the 170km long Wairau River that runs from the mountains in the west to the ocean at Cloudy Bay.

Cupid's Arrow Pinot Noir comes from Central Otago, home of some of New Zealand's best Pinot's. It delivers an intensity of fruit, rounded tannins and delicate balance that many European winemakers would die for, but all at a fantastic price and in an non-pretentious and straightforward way.
Deep crimson red colour. Lifted aromatics of cinnamon, dried herbs, dark rose petal and black cherry. On the palate sweet fruit is well integrated with fine tannin and subtle oak flavours to give a soft but long finish.
